Linux not the problem...
The "lame" (your word, not mine) Linux OS isn't the problem. The "lame" (my word this time) MCSE's are.

My brother-in-law is an MCSE and I personally wouldn't trust him to properly configure a 98 PC, but yet MS certified him. His previous career choice was a short-order cook and his highest education level was 12th grade. Does that sound like someone you would like to turn loose in your data center?

I personally know of more than 20+ companies and governments in my area that have more Linux servers than they do MS servers. The companies are not small either. Most have annual revenues in the 9 figures. The rest have revenues in the 10 figure range. That's Billion with a B folks.

The biggest ones are using Linux clusters to run the show. The MS servers that they do have are peripheral and doing menial task like file and print and Exchange.

Your rehtoric may scare the mom and pop shops who can't handle anything more than a point and click OS, but the big dogs know better. Linux is here to stay and already well entrenched where MS can only dream of going.
