Google Patents and Trademarks
In terms of the trademark issue, I think Google could still have a case, if they can prove their names predated the applications of the other parties. (At least in the patent arena, you can't patent an idea that someone else has already had.)

Having said that, Google should *immediately* fire their lawyers, because they're complete screw-ups. Normally you apply for a trademark and patent *before* you market your service, specifically to avoid things like this.
