Isn't that like asking the oil companies if we should use solar power?
I like using MS software, but how about a quote from an unbiased source.
Open source *does* cost more than people on this board would like to think, but I doubt that it is more expensive than MS. When you include such things as end-user support and training they are probably closer to roughly the same cost depending on your environment. If you are looking for choices in applications, open source loses. The selection of commercial quality applications for OS's such as Linux (most that come with the usual distro do not qualify, IMO) does not come close to what is available on a MS OS. - Posted by: balsover Posted on: 08/14/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
