PLEASE get REAL !!!
Every study on the face of the Earth has shown open source software and O/S's reduce overall cost immediately and long-term. Even studies paid for by MICROSUCKS that they don't release to the press confirm this.

This however has to be the ultimate joke in this story on CA looking to reduce technology costs:

"Not everyone would agree with that assessment, however. A study conducted by market researcher IDC and funded by Microsoft found that the software giant's products were more cost-effective than open-source software in four out of five instances."

Gee, I can't understand why MICROSUCKS would NOT admit that open source is better, cheaper, and non-monopolistic !!!

DUH... Why would anyone give ANY credibility to a report PAID FOR BY MICROSUCKS when they have been convicted on two continents for violation of anti-trust laws. If you don't understand what this means, read the court decisions... MICROSUCKS are convicted CRIMINALS who engage in illegal strong-arm tactics to force consumers into using DEFECTIVE SOFTWARE, that MICROSUCKS fails to advise PRIOR TO PURCHASE is DEFECTIVE in design and operation. THIS is the very definition of CONSUMER FRAUD !!! As will soon be demonstrated the EULA does NOT protect MICROSUCKS from conviction for Consumer Fraud...
