Lost touch with the consumer? Hello, this article talks about employing open source in government offices... which I might point out tend to be FAIRLY staid.
Read the article next time. Classic MS bashing pulled out of the rear end and has no bearing on the article... which doesn't do anyone anygood, particularly those evangelizing LINUX in a more controlled way.
Having said that I like LINUX on the backend... but whatever dreams of desktop penetration LINUX folks have, they'll be on ice for another while longer. Considering what a pain in the ass it is to get people off of IE (yes, just the browser) despite my best Mozilla proselytizing, well, the idea that they'll toss out Windows in a heartbeat is not very likely.
