haha: I'm a republican but man these made me crack up.

The platform for the republican party: All for economic welfare both not social welfare. IE, the rich get richer, the poor get poorer. Companies boast big profits, no one gets raises. Offshoring, pollution, as long as it doesn't hurt the bottom line in the short term, its good!

Democrats: All for social welfare, little for economic cost. IE: minimum wage, Govt. sponsered healthcare, welfare programs, taking your money and giving it to others.

Why can't we ever find something in between this. Its not brain surgery, but I guess it becomes that as campaign contributions and actual votes come into play. Unfortunately, campaign contributions are becoming a much bigger deal then votes, as with contributions votes can just be "bought" with stupid commercials, airtime, and posters etc. Now business is running our government, and sure companies are doing well, but are the people?; Posted by: johnnyu Posted on: 08/12/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
