Blockbuster enters online DVD rental business

Blockbuster & Walmart won't rent unrated & NC-17 movies

I like the message I just wrote, but the title is misleading. It isn't like Netflix is great because you can get porn from them (you can't). The point is that if a movie that you want was never submitted to the MPAA (true of many foreign & some domestic independent films) or has was rated NC-17 by the MPAA, then Walmart and Blockbuster won't rent it. To me the biggest attraction of these mail order services is that they have 10s of thousands of movies, not just a storefull. But despite their huge inventories, if you want to see some Danish or Brazilian movie that hasn't been rated by the MPAA, you just won't be able to get it from Walmart or Blockbuster, and you will be able to get it from Netflix.
