And you have never broken a law without knowing it?
Braking a law that you are unaware of makes you ignorant and not STUPID. I also add that ignorance of the law does not make the law breaking right.

Most file sharers are ignorant kids that do not comprehend the tangible worth of the files they download because they cannot touch them. They probably share their cd's with little Bubba and MaryJane in a manner that would comply with the law. To them file sharing is an extenstion of that intent and belief.

Granted there are many downloaders that do this simply because they do not want to pay for the songs they listen to and those people are thieves and are stupid. There are those too, that download for monetary gain.....again stupid thieves.

I stand on my statement most people that start out in P2P networking are ignorant of the laws they might be breaking. All they know is that this a cool way to get music, an extention of their current belief system. I don't believe that the majority of thise folks go in with the INTENT to steal. The PERCEPTION of the internet and all that goes with it is that anything on the net is free and the net is just another tool to share what they have.
