Why not just ban the internet
problem solved.

Trying to outlaw p2p is as dumb an idea to try and stop piracy. Piracy is as old as pc's are. If the net doesn't provide a direct download way there will be other ways of distribution. I don't like it when they take something away just because it is potentially a vehicle for crime. So are banks, cars, guns, laws. Yes laws. Why not just throw them out. If there isn't a law saying it's illegal to download then there's no crime either. Again problem solved. Why not limit the size of harddisks. Say to about 4 gig so longhorn will just about fit and then make everybody store the rest of their data on internet enabled storage provided by MS. That way they can keep an eye on things.

Catering for big corporations seems to have become the only thing that matters these days. The fact that you are loosing more rights day by day seems to go unnoticed by the masses. Untill they wake up and find themselves in a police state that is.
