No new IE ever
At least for us Mac users, but then again, we've moved on to
better and faster things.

I see MS's point here--why should they improve IE? There's no
profit to be made from it. When they first made it free, in order
to drive Netscape out of business, they painted themselves into
a corner. They can never charge for a browser. They can't make
money from it, so why invest any money improving it, or even
making it less vulnerable?

Making customers happy isn't motivation enough.
