No, don't answer that. At this point, the claims have merit.

The SCO vs Novell suit is regarding Novell interfering with SCO's business by claiming that SCO doesn't own Unix when Novell sold it to SCO in 1995: Press Release 9-19-95, 9-20-95 and 10-16-96.

Novell's motion to dismiss was denied 6-9-04 meaning that there is something to this case.

Red Hat sued SCO, not the other way around.

Daimler Chrysler is still in court because DC didn't comply with SCO's request to show compliance with contractual agreements. DC complied, but late. The 7/21/04 decision in this case shows that SCO has no action against DC regarding compliance, but certainly has a claim regarding the timliness of the response. Therefore, SCO has the right to pursue its IP claims.

Autozone's future is linked with Red Hat's and the IBM case.

According to IBM's internal documents, "AIX is a derivative work of SCO Unix"
IBM has contributed AIX code to Linux (IBM statements).

Therefore, IBM has violated its contractual agreement with SCO.

Examples of AIX / SCO code found in Linux: RCU, SysV init; ULS, IPC 2.4.20.
