RE: 360 trillion calculations/sec = 360 GIGAflops?
Personally speaking they make it sound simpler by doing the following:

1 MHz = 1 MegaHeartz
1 GHz = 1 GigaHeartz
1 THz = 1 TeraHeartz (or a teraflop)
1 PHz = 1 PetaHeartz (or a petaflop)

Make it a standard, because this is what most people are still trying to get used to. Most people get confused when you say 400 mhz or 900mhz, you say 0.4ghz or 0.9ghz then they understand. Whacky man, Whacky!!

"If I recall, 1 trillion anything is a TERA-something, meaning that 360 trillion calculations/sec = 360 TERAflops, not gigaflops."
