Clinton was president in 1999, the recession that ended millions of American jobs began in 1999. Ergo, I can complain about Clinton.

No comparison was made - facts regarding the economy at this point in history are being compared by the Democrat party (I got the quote DNC chairman Terry McCaulegh). So, the ONLY comparison between Bush and Clinton are coming from the left, I'm simply giving accurate information.

"That silly defense is like giving Bush a free ticket to sleep with interns because Clinton did it."

Please, that is not at all the type of analogy I am making. Actually, I'm not even making the comparison, I'm simply making the correction.

The economy is fine. It's the left that is lying how bad it is. I'm pointing out that the economy under Bush (at least in terms of employment) is no worse (it's actually better) than under Clinton - ergo, the entire Dem claim that Bush should NOT be re-elected because of the economy is false.

And if you think Bush is doing a poor job, I'd love to hear what you think he's doing wrong - because as far as I can tell, the ONLY thing he's not doing well at (spending and immigration) would be WORSE (and HAS BEEN) than when the president was ANY Democrat.

Exactly the reason NOT to elect two wrongs like Kerry and Edwards.

Americans do NOT vote for asses... wink
