glut in S&E and visas
Rather than not count US grad degree holders against visa limits, the visas should be, based on early arguments for them, restricted to only people who have completed post-docs or otherwise gained a reputation as one of the top 10 minds in the field, worldwide.

The lobbyists who pushed these visas over the last several decades alleged they'd be bringing in only "the best and brightest", only those "pre-eminent in the field". But, instead, huge numbers of visas were issued to mediocre lights with the goal of driving down S&E compensation.

I don't mind people entering the USA to do honest work. What I mind are the lies of TechNet & ITAA and their fellows. In this case, they're over-due to be held to their words.
