Settle?
In 1981, Apple promised not to enter into any music endeavor (to include hardware that would play music). In 1987, they starting producing machines that played MIDIs and the Beatles took them back to court. In 1991, Apple again agreed to stay out of the music business (but got permission to keep sound on the computer). The latest filing was last fall and, near as I can tell, has not been settled yet.
