No they don't

--Real has every right to reverse engineer Apple's copy protection for compatibilty purposes.--
The copy protection is protected under the DMCA. That means the breaking of the copy protection is a violation of the law. I'm not saying that it won't be broken, but even though the DMCA is bad legislation, it is still the law.

As an aside, I have to believe that No_Axe will be happier than a pig in feces over that. After all, from his viewpoint, making thing compatible and being able to utilize your recordings as you see fit is not innovative, nor worthwhile.
