McBride Takes Over The Offense???
Come On, Guy,

McBride has been offensive to anyone with decent ethical standards from the word "Go". Linux has been on the defensive ever since this guy and his lawyer goons have tried to make their little grab at stealing it from the people of Planet Earth.

Oh, and that bit about the constitution? Nowhere in that august document does it address the current state of copyright or patent law. I would refer Mr. McBride et al to the U.S. Code, where our currently murky laws on software patents and copyrights are "enshirined" (yeesh!).

One of the wonderful things about our system of government is that, if enough registered voters get angry enough about something, Congress will eventually take reluctant steps to do something about it. Of course, since they rarely even have a real clue about what people want, they generally take actions that are wrong-headed and just make things worse... until some or all of these clowns get voted out of office, that is. Ain't politics grand? Get out there and vote, all ye penguin lovers! And don't forget to drop your representatives a polite email explaining how you feel about SCO.

Oh, and the crack about religion and politics? SCO's stuff comes closer to being a cult than anything the open source community has ever produced. Watch it, Darl - Stalin was ejected from office for creating a cult of personality. You may be next.

Later On,
Dave
