Only in the US
I can't help but feel that a lawsuit this stupid can only happen in the US. I don't think it would be possible in my country(the Netherlands) to launch a suit saying:
"You stole something of mine but I'm not going to tell you what exactly you stole. I'll just say this...it used to be somewhere in the building my buisiness is housed in."

I do believe that here you would have to provide the prove in the allegation if you do not it might be considered slander and accusing someone falsely would be punished.

Instead of acting like any normal justice system the US not only allows a suit like this but also doesn't seem to care about the damage it is causing. What are you people thinking?

I do not even care about weather you like SCO or not. The company should not be able to drag somebody to court without providing a shred of evidence it even has a valid case. So at this moment I don't even think it's relevant if the company is right in it's claims. If it is let it produce the proove so someone can actualy investigate if the claims are valid and then proceed. I do belive a case like this would be over in weeks if the accuser did not provide any proof/documentation that it's claims have any merit at all.
