MS is on a self-destructive path...
At best they will abuse the system to maintain a lock on the OS in the U.S. but not beyond that....
If MS was smart...
have that they are destined to control all software...
the fact that their products are no longer worth the premiums they continue to demand....
unless MS changes their strategies fundamentally they will become extinct...

Yes it does but the marketplace the poster alluded to doesn't exist yet.
Stating facts about the future is a little silly.

Of course a market leader will always try to determine the direction. I don't think MS need abandon Windows just yet.
