i agree with the lgeacy point, but...
that hardly warants an i told you so, since that's pretty much common sense. you have to move on sooner or later.

my only dislike of the moving on is that people on older systems are sometimes left in the cold. i think if i buy something, i should expect it to be free of flaws or that the maker will fix their own flaws if discovered. if i have a perfectly working system, i should have no need to upgrade.

you do need to let things evolve, but it's a delicate balance between progress and pissing off your cutomer base...
