Do you mean you are unwilling to change your habits given the (extremely small) possibility of a bulletproof system?

This mentality is what caused the problem in the first place: features and functionality over security. The implementation of the proper solution will more than likely be so drastic that you will have to change your habits AND the way you use all of your precious applications. As long as the patch patching stays the course preserving the way applications run now, the bleeding will never stop.
