That's the risk for pioneers [of new systems].
The conservative choice in this case (MS or IBM) would have been painless and less expensive.
They now have a get-out-of-jail-free card.
They can back peddle referencing the legal problems to pick another vendor or use them to justify even more money and time.

Not very efficient in my book.
It's a load of politics.
