Not a big deal
Linus Trovalds has already said he had no problems with DRM in the kernel. The door is open. Microsoft will ofcourse push for a very proprietary method of doing business to lock that from happening. IBM, Sun, HP, or some other Microsoft-enemy will than produce a group to develop an open standard/market approach. Both will fight it out and eventually nothing will happen with DRM. DRM will become some obscure technology no one really uses but ZDNet puts up any article they can find on it.

Rest of us carry on with the real world.
