DMCA isn't about copyrights
The DMCA doesn't allow you to make any money. Unless you happen to be a lawyer and you don't have to create a thing to make money.

The DMCA is supposed to restrict the ability to make devices, both hardware and software, that are strictly for the purposes of copyright infringement. Much like being in possession of money printing plates gets in arrested under laws for counterfiting while at the same time your percision laser printer does not get you arrested. The problem with the DMCA is it's poorly written and to date has not been used for what it was meant to do.
