Should play by the rules
OSS is probably a wave of the future once someone figures out how to get a steady revenue stream. If anyone can make money through this method, than the capitalistic economy is working through the entrepreneur like it should. However, if Linux, as only one example of OSS, has reached its star status through patent infringement than its distribution companies are just as bad as any other company that can not defend patent infringement cases.

I am curious of the origin of any of the posters that blindly ignore patent infringement just because it involves OSS.

Do you work for a company that is in the wake of any other successful organization today and your employer looks to any excuse to unfairly compete? Try innovating

Alternatively, are you from a country that does not recognize IP and views everything in as community property? You can not have a market economy and still long for a social outlook on everything.
