Yup, in fact I had our Linux guy place an order for a new machine today. He told me he wanted the weekend to consider the hardware and place an order Monday. He said something about a dual Opteron 64-bit system with a whole bunch of RAM...

Don't let him have a decent video card or monitor, though. Those honkers are such kick-ass gaming boxen that you can run quite a bit of Real Work in the background while gaming on the console, and the box doesn't even spool up the fans.

Then again, if it's got a reasonable network connection the lack of video may not matter. This could be bad. Very bad ...
