But that would be telling. As several NBM posters have pointed out, it's much more useful if you don't give out maps to the minefield. In fact, IIRC Microsoft's general counsel pointed out that disclosing which patents they're accusing others of violating would just make it easier to invalidate those patents.

No, all things considered it's much better for Microsoft to keep everyone guessing. If you want to be safe, pay them the money for a blanket license whether you need it or not.
