Of course, apart from the difference being that the Linux tools save taxpayer's money by being, well, free, is there any other tool out there that allows you to stick a CD in a computer and complete a forensic analysis of the HDD without touching the HDD in any other way?

Next you'll be claiming NASA are behind the curve, although I suppose using Fedora Core 4 is a little behind.
