RE: Linux tool speeds up computer forensics for cops
I think that this is a very interesting idea and a practical solution. At my forensics and security company (www.top8.biz), we use Linux for data acquisition, and an expensive write blocker (around $300). This takes some experience though.

Of course, one can always mount the other computer as a read-only partition, but this takes even more experience.

Neither is trouble-free in court if the police office is cross-examined.

So a solution which takes care of all of this automatically sounds great. Can I get in touch with the project, because I would like to try it?
