You are delaying too?
Please do forgive... but why not buy the AMD's with the Tyan motherboards, deploy now and just 'upgrade' to full 64 bit mode.

You have your servers now and in place. Are you being Intel biased? Your words directly imply that (if you are willing to accept this as the friendly debate I intend it as... engineer to engineer)

Please forgive me... Reps make money by making us wait and buy their product even if delayed.

If cost, availability and reliability were the same, why would you decide to wait when you have an answer available right now unless you had a personal bias.

The inverse can also be argued. I ask myself the same question. I ask if I'm 'jumping the gun' to balance the debate of that which I just put to you.

Let's put MS aside for a second... Linux 64 can do the file & printer server job without MS... You just don't have *ALL* the microsoft features.

Isn't 32 bit mode good enough for now? AMD or Intel? If not, then why wait?

Please be the engineer... use the Rep's info as a tool, but don't forget balance... and in teh end, do what's right.
