Guilty until forced to settle
There has been some progress in the Courts.

The finding that companies distributing p2p software are not contributing to illegal actions they have no way of identifying.

The finding that the RIAA shall not be the only organization in the country to obtain subpoenas because of suspicions without Court oversight.

This finding, that names not be disclosed without the RIAA passing a test to justify overwhelming of First Amendment rights.

Only an irrationally vicious person would object to any of these findings.
No, Senator Hatch, I would never call you an irrationally vicious person. You are a member of the US Senate, 100 people near the top of the governmental hierarchy, elected for their wisdom and judgement.
So you have no reason to be angry with me. Really.
