Outlook 2003 still completely blocks an attachment with non-alphanumeric characters in the extension. We get tons of files from Mac users and if the file is named something like '7x10(1 col.)' Outlook thinks the .) is the extension and will not give access to the file.

Sounds like you need to educate the Mac users on proper e-mail procedures. Filenames are supposed to be 8.3 unless they don't want to be compatible with 95% of the Universe.

If they don't want you to receive their mail, that's their problem.
