The difference is....
government intervention. Plus if you have 1 model car that is made on an assembly line and packaged with OEM parts and only OEM parts it's fine and will perform as tested. Now say you toss in all the aftermarket parts on say...a Honda Civic which there are thousands of them...search it on google...do you seriously think Honda would have the resources to configure a Civic with every aftermarket part and test it? Same flies as people install programs, never run hardware or software firewalls, dont run antivirus software, dont stay up-to-date with updates, click yes to everything that pops up, doesn't eat their greens. Even IT professionals can maybe miss something that opens a vulnerability in a server. I mean car makers still post recalls on cars just as software manufactures post patches and updates. I do offer this one bit of advice, if you have them, teach your children everything about computers and tell them to pass it on. most of what is spread on the internet can be very easily prevented. Some flaws are exploited after Microsoft posts updates when virus writers can found out which hole the patch plugged. It's a dog-eat-dog world folks, unless everyone want's to change it. I vote for Eye for an Eye punishment, chop off their hands and rip their eyes out!!!
