Nothing to do with the OS at Google, this is a Window virus.
They target Linux about the only they can, by flooding it with requests. And really, it is because Google is so good and so fast that they used it in stead of MSN. I really would not call this a denial of service, they are minning for email addresses using Google because it is the best. If they tried to use MSN, they would bring it to it's knees. And they would not get usefull results either!
