Linux on Desktop
I belong to a couple of lists relating to Linux issues, and it seems that most subscribers are using Linux on the desktop. I find it hard to comprehend that there are any difficulties left to overcome on the desktop. Mandrake makes short work of Samba setup and connectivity, and Ximian Desktop and Ximian Connector make short work of enduring a Microsoft Exchange Server. Let's face it, the sooner MS returns to the ranks of "just another software company" the better for all. Then true innovation can flourish and the stultifying mediocrity of MS will have no sway.
