And only 5.3% groth expected for next fiscal year:-)
From the MS press release:

"Management offers the following guidance for the full
fiscal year ending June 30, 2005:

+Revenue is expected to be in the range of $38.4 billion
and $38.8 billion."

So MS expects only 5.3% revenue growth for the next fiscal
year. Whilst MS stagnates os alternatives are growing
rapidly.

From Reuters:

"Scott Di Valerio, Microsoft vice president and corporate
controller, said that the world's largest software maker had
recognized $1.1 billion from long-term licensing contracts
during the course of its latest fiscal year ended in June, and
that this created a hole that would be tough to fill in the
current fiscal year."

Is this because suckers are increasingly difficult to find?
