Heh, it turns out you might've been right - there were explosive charges built into the building!
Unlike your conspiracy theory, however, they weren't built in by the gov't - they were built in by the designers, in case the WTC needed to be demoed! It's very likely the planes might've set off the explosives, and, well, after that, the explosives did what they were designed to do
.
So, no, I don't really agree completely with the linked story I gave you, but it seems a possibility. Also, the story notes that it might've been the people who owned the building that might've been responsible, not the gov't.
