Tiered Pricing in Korea also
I am currently studying in Korea and just recently upgraded
from my 512k cable modem to their new VDSL service,
which gives me 50Mbps download speeds. The price for
this speed is about $36 US. My old cable modem cost about
$24 US. Not bad for like a 50x boost in speed for $12
more. Wish it was just as cheap for broadband in the states
as it is here. Also Korea has the highest penetration of
broadband users. Internet cafes and game rooms cost
about $0.80 an hour to use also. All I know is that the US
has a long way to go in the broadband area.
