SBC Dsl
I was an early adopter of SBC's DSL service in the Austin area. They had a rough time at first, but things have been running smoothly for years now. I called a few days ago and got my $49.95/month bill dropped to $29.95/month with a free modem (I needed a new one anyway) and a year's extension. And I consistently get 1.2M down/128k up, unlike cable that varies with how many other customers are using your (shared) line. I see no reason to be tempted by the cable offers.
