talk about conflicting experiences...

I've been using and supporting linux installations for years, and can't tell you the last time I saw a segfault or panic on a production release. If your experience were current and correct, I doubt Sears would have sold out of their PCs with Linux pre-installed.... Either your info is from a singular experience (perhaps you shouldn't have tried to compile your own kernel?) or you are speaking from experiences a decade old. Either way, perhaps you are due for a new experience.

As for your ad hominem attacks on Mr. Torvolds -- well, you may be right, but that doesn't make Linux any less of an attractive OS for millions of users...

I think the world would be a better place if we use logic and correct information rather than spreading inaccuracies and FUD -- but that's just me...
