Maybe NOT a win for the TSG lawyers...
This is a federal court case. If the lawsuit is found to be frivolous, the lawyers could face Sanctions imposed under title, 28, section 1927 ? for conduct that, viewed objectively, manifests either intentional or reckless disregard of the attorney?s duties as officers of the court.

These sanctions aren't just money: A lawyer can be removed from the list of lawyers allowed to represent clients in federal courts.

So far, the plaintiff hasn't even identified what property their suit is about... what are these "methods", and are they protected as trade secrets, copyrighted material, or as patents? What lines of Linux code implement these stolen properties?

TSG (The SCO Group) has been showing "evidence" to computer business analysts (e.g. the Yankee Group) and corporate financial analysts (e.g., Deutsche Bank) for months. In my personal opinion, it is appalling and contemptful that they REFUSE to present this "evidence" to the party they have accused.

I feel that Counsel for TSG has not been meeting minimal standards of practice as an officer of the Court. But this is only Discovery, and a few weeks' delay to provide the plaintiff and their Counsel one last chance to come up with a useful set of specific claims, before finding the Suit frivolous, is definitely in the best interest of everyone.

IANAL.
