Every one of your examples...
...are means of limiting the usability of OOXML. They aren't advantages, they're disadvantages. They're means of keeping people from accessing their own data.

If there really is any advantage to lifespan controls on documents, nothing says they can't be wrapped up in a time-aware encryption. If you don't want the data made available to an "unapproved PC," either encrypt it or make sure it doesn't get to that PC in the first place.

The one thing you don't need to do is burden millions of people with these fringe requirements.
