but his point about $46000 is valid. Without any mention of what the software is, it could very well be 200+ copies of Windows something or copies of something that can be obtained for free.

On his other point, of course people running Macs or Linux can be duped by phishing, but some of these sites have a side effect when entered using IE on a Windows machine. They will download a trojan to your machine without you even knowing it using one of the several hundred known flaws of IE or using one of its 'features': ActiveX. This side effect turns your machine into one of its spam distributing zombies and *is* a Windows problem, but one that can be cured by not using IE.

Unfortunately, gullibility cannot be cured so easily.
