Interesting, but remember FTD?
This is all a really interesting look at what's invdevelopement, but how much of this is likely to actually make it to make it passed the experimental stage, let alone onto store shelves.

Remember FTD's? incase you don't, about 4-5 years back when DVD burners where just bearlyt starting to be available to end users, and there was a big debate about what standard woud be accepted. During this time, people kept raving about some new from of writeable media simalar to CD's and DVD's called an FTD (flurine T-something D-something) they promised that this ould hold more, be cheeper and faster than CD's or DVD's.

Well, fast forward to now, and i don't see these FTD disks anywhere. while they didn't replace my DVDRW, some of the tech used in them has gone in to the harddrives you buy nowa days.

As to the Protine memory card or the crystal harddrive, I don't see many or any of these technologies making it to the market, but they maybe important stepping stone in the future.

But hey, a least you won't have to worry about taking your computer out grazing in your front lawn.
