Giving away ill-gotten gain nothing to crow about...
Considering much of his wealth comes from many of the unethical, predatory business practices and methods employed by him and MS over the years, it's only just he gives most of it away.

Plus, it makes for great PR, especially at a time when MS (thru Gates as they are often synonymous) could use all the positive spin it can muster. (much like the "generous" MS software gifts to schools and libraries... like it doesn't benefit MS directly thru good PR and extending the MS influence and monopoly even further)

Besides, Gates probably has more money than most 3rd world countries combined so how much money does one person need to comfortably exist?

Geez... give me $50 billion in tainted (or any type of) money and I'll gladly give away $49.9 billion.

I believe I could live on $100 million with little problem happy
