- I don't see any FUD.
-
FUD stands for Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt. I challenge you to find a case of that practice in this article.
FUD is a term that is not often misused; however, you seem to attach that title to any Microsoft-related advertising. (and more than just advertising, too!) Please think over your criticisms before you voice them. If you want to persuade, be rational.
You said that "Microsoft is the master of brainwashing", etc. It's true that Microsoft frequently uses brainwashing in their advertising, but can we attribute that practice entirely to Microsoft? That's been going on in advertising for decades. And Microsoft isn't as good at it as some people are. (e.g. John Kerry)
As for IBM "saving the future from Microsoft controlled script kiddies", I can't see one shred of truth in that. They're advancing their products; participating in fair, honest competition. That's all. I'm unaware of any script-kiddies related to Microsoft. Yes, Microsoft's products have been found to call home on occasion, but that's an unrelated matter. Microsoft fights script-kiddies, rather than advancing them.
"The future is FREEdom, not Microsoft." Do you even fully understand the concept of free software? Or are you a plant with no roots? Or are you perhaps a disguised Microsoft advocate?
Believe me, you're not advancing free software here. If anything, you're confusing commonly used arguments so people who have a genuine point against Microsoft can't get through. - Posted by: Linux_Developer Posted on: 07/20/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
