Voting machines are not rocket science.
The voting machine manufacturers are hiding their flawed software behind non-disclosure agreements to keep the public from finding out that the Emporer has no clothes.

The truth of the matter is that voting machines are not really complicated. But the voting machine manufacturers and certain individuals in power don't want these machines to be transparent or user-verifiable.

Not only should we be using open-source tools for voting. But we need a system which allows any interested voter to download the voting logs (at least for their polling place) so that they can talley the votes themselves.
