Yep - UC wanted fees from MS, MS told them to urinate up a rope, and the whole sorry mess went to court.

And yep, the sole holder of Eolas stated that he would not charge fees to the open source community.

After which, the UC attorney took him out behind the woodshed and helped him correct his point of view. This action would cause council for MS to be extremely happy - as council would attach the entire DOJ case against MS as a legal finding FOR MS in this instance - can't selectively charge based on sweetheart deals, doncha know?
