Microsoft's reputation at stake, EU says

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/business/272971_msfteu07.html

Microsoft has attracted a reputation for
arrogance in its personnel practices, which
has put off some would-be job candidates.

Arthur Sorkin has been courted by Microsoft
on several occasions, but the computer
scientist keeps saying no to the software
giant's overtures, at times finding the
company's attitude arrogant.

Glitches in XBox 360 hit Microsoft's
reputation
GAME OFF: The Xbox 360 console was launched
in 2005, but problems have developed since
then.

"This problem has caused frustration for
some of our customers and for that we
sincerely apologise Robbie Bach"

TJ says: With 25+ years behind me in the
technology industries, I can categorically
state that Bill Gates and Microscum Corp are
little more than copy-cats. The only thing I
can think of that Microsoft has given us
is "You need a patch" software - which in
most cases only created further problems
with MS products.

In any other industry Bill Gates would've
been sued (at the very least) and most
likely would be behind prison bars for his
theft, and the tens of billions (if not
hundreds of billions) of dollars his
software has cost American industry and
individuals. And THAT is how I earn my
living - by fixing Microsoft's O/S (all of
them), and fixing their products too. I
suppose I should be thankful, but it's hard
when one is cleaning up after another who is
essentially a thief, and a lousy one at
that.

The Ole Man says: Yes, Microsoft has an
extensive reputation, which is all too easy
to verify. Only those who are paid by
Microsoft, earn their subsistence with
Microsoft products, or simply doesn't know
which end is up want to argue or apologize
for Microsoft.
