Disappointing
I agree with you entirely about the reason for the settlement. MS was on very shaky legal grounds. I am disappointed by this, however, because I was really curious to know the outcome of the suit. There are a lot of very interesting legal questions which will go unanswered because of this settlement. Oh well, maybe next time.

Oh and by the way, you have to give loads of credit to Lindows, er...uh... Linspire. They got loads and loads of free publicity, including publicity for their name change, and still received $20 million from MS. I have always thought this case never made sense from the MS point of view and should never have been brought by them. The settlement confirms my belief.
